The Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope is jointly developed by the United States, France, Italy, Japan and Sweden and was launched on June 11, 2008. It has two instruments: the Large Area Telescope (Fermi-LAT) and the Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM). It is the unique satellite on-orbit in GeV band and provides excellent opportunities for the study of high-energy radiations of celestial phenomena.

The "Fermi Asian Network Workshop (FAN)" was established in 2010 to promote collaborations among the high energy astrophysicists in Asia with particular focus on using the data obtained with Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope for observational and theoretical investigations.  It has been successfully held alternately among Chinese Hong Kong, Chinese Taiwan, China mainland areas and South Korea in the past few years. In light of recently released 4FGL catalog using 8-years’ of LAT data, and to review our recent efforts and expand our collaboration, we will hold the 8th Fermi Asian Network Workshop (FAN8),  in Zhuhai, China.

We invite participations from all astronomers interested in high energy astrophysics, particularly in Fermi-LAT gamma-ray observations and related theoretical investigations. Senior and young astrophysicists, as well as undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to participate.
